Supporting recovery through community
Joshua House is strengthened by people who choose to give their time and care to the work of recovery.
Volunteers play an important role in supporting the ministry and the men who are rebuilding their lives. Some volunteers help with practical needs around the property, while others contribute professional skills, event support, or community connections.
Every contribution helps create the environment where recovery can take place.
Ways to get involved
There are many ways volunteers can support the work of Joshua House.
PRACTICAL HELP
Some volunteers help with hands-on needs such as property maintenance, repairs, improvements, or supporting events and day-to-day operations.
SKILLED SUPPORT
Others contribute by offering professional skills in areas like construction, administration, or other specialized work where their experience can make a meaningful impact.
Because the needs of the ministry change over time, volunteer opportunities may vary. Our team is always happy to discuss where your time and skills might be most helpful.
Group volunteering
Church groups, community groups, and organizations sometimes volunteer together on projects that support the ministry.
These opportunities may include work days, facility improvements, or other projects that help maintain the spaces where residents live and recover.
Group involvement can be a meaningful way to support the work happening at Joshua House.
A supportive community
Volunteering at Joshua House is not only about completing tasks. It is about contributing to a community that believes recovery is possible.
The encouragement and presence of supportive people can make a meaningful difference for men who are working to rebuild their lives.
I spent years trapped in addiction, losing myself piece by piece, chasing highs that only pulled me deeper into darkness.
When I came to Joshua House, I thought I was just trying to survive, but instead I found something I didn’t even know I was missing, real love, real purpose, and God. It wasn’t easy, but day by day, I chose life, I chose faith, and I began to believe I was worth saving. Today, I’m clean not because I’m strong, but because of God’s grace, and I know now that no one is too far gone to be pulled out of the pit.
